WHAT MISTAKES DID YOU MAKE AS A BEGINNER
AND HOW DIFFICULT IT WAS TO BEGIN?
F.D.: Like all beginners I started training on my own. I tried to imitate others and their form of
exercising. My nutrition was bad and i wasn’t “living” the sport!
It was very difficult for me to keep a healthy lifestyle, and i had no idea what it really meant. But
over the time I learned that nutrition and proper lifting form will lead you to the gains you always
HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR LIFE AS A FITNESS MODEL?
F.D.: For me it is a honor that people follow me and appreciate my efforts. I do not think that i am
something special, but if the people who love this sport consider me as a role model, then i will give
more than 100% to not disappoint ‘em and it’s also my source of motivation that helps me to give my
best every day.
YOUR TIPS, HOW PEOPLE CAN STAY DEDICATED?
F.D.: If you love this sport and this way of life, concentrate on it. Setting goals is essential and it
will help you to stay focused and achieve your goals. Try to inspire others and be an idol, also learn
to listen to your body.
Be disciplined in the gym, kindful in your relationship and with your family. That will help you to
stay positive minded. You also have to break some rules to achieve what you are working for, don’t
let others tell you, that you CAN’T! Nothing is impossible.
WHO ARE YOUR IDOLS?
F.D.: I love Arnold, not only for his achievements as bodybuilder, but also as a big and inspiring
person! Other current idol for me is my teacher Mintxo Lasaosa. He is the person who showed me
how to live the bodybuilding lifestyle. How to combine social life, dieting and lifting!
WHAT IS YOUR DIET LIKE? (WHEN CUTTING OR BULKING)
F.D.: 50% Protein / 30 % Carbs / 20% Fat. This is what works for me, when bulking or cutting,
doesn’t matter. The only difference is that i increase my kcal intake when bulking. When cutting,
I reduce carb intake to the minimum.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WORKOUT ROUTINE?
F.D.: I love leg training. I love the feeling of not being able to walk after the session! LOL
WHAT SUPPLEMENTS DO YOU USE?
F.D.: As a Pre-Workout i use creatin, BCAAs and Glutamine. As a Post-Workout Whey Protein.
Before going to sleep i take HGH to increase the segregation. Also big thanks to my sponsor,
HOW DOES YOUR OFF DAY LOOK LIKE?
F.D.: I actually have no OFF Day. But if I have a high carb day, i eat sushi or a good beef steak
with a potatos.
